June 1, 2020 - As you may know, the state and local shelter-in-place orders have cancelled or rescheduled many scouting events. Tiger Joe and I truly hope you are all staying safe, healthy and socially distant.
The San Francisco Bay Area Council office has been closed since 3/17/2020 and will be staying closed until June 2nd 2020 or until the Shelter in Place Order is lifted. We plan to re-open as soon as state and local government agencies allow us to do so. Most of our Council staff have been working from home to the best of their ability. All events at Camp Royaneh, Wente Scout Reservation, Rancho Los Mochos, and the YLTC are now postponed until after the shelter-in-place orders are lifted. Please do not come to any camp as all the camps are also closed.
Speaking of our council office, recently the San Francisco Bay Area Council and our neighboring Alameda Council and the Mt Diablo Silverado Council elected to merge into one single council, the new Golden Gate Area Council.
So what this mean for Tiger Cub Safari? Well, I'm glad you asked.
For Fall 2019-2020 Tigers, we have rescheduled Tiger Cub Safari for one tiger-fic weekend on September 19-20, 2020. All of you already registered should have received rescheduling information from our council office within the past month.
Special Note: If this date does not fit into your calendar -OR- you would prefer to wait a little longer, you may register for our 2021 dates as a pandemic exemption to our long standing Tiger-only requirement. Please know that the Boy Scouts of America, our council office, Tiger Joe and I cannot and will not open camp to you if it is not absolutely staff for you to attend. For those of you that have been with us before, you know this is true and we were using hand sanitizer long before it became the thing to do.
For Fall 2020-2021 Tigers, we will open both 2021 sessions for registration on January 1st, 2021. Those sessions are currently scheduled for April 24–25, 2021 and May 1-2, 2021.
Can you imagine who much fun our 2021 camps will be? With a few 2020 holdovers and a new larger council, our 2021 camps will be an incredible experience. Our friends in the town of Willits may actually hear us roar, "Tigers Rule, Others Drool."

April 14, 2020 - As you may know, the San Francisco Bay Area Council has canceled all camps up to May 3, in accordance with the statewide shelter-in-place mandate. Unfortunately, this affects both weekends of Tiger Cub Safari.
Both Tiger Joe and Tiger Jeff have been working hard to make sure that this year's Tiger Cubs get their opportunity to attend Tiger Cub Safari. They have tentatively reserved the weekend of September 19–20 for Tiger Cub Safari 2020. This won't be confirmed until the Council Office employees are allowed to go back into the office.
In the situation you're unable to attend this new weekend or that the council is unable to re-schedule the camp, we are more than happy to welcome any of this year's Tigers (soon to be Wolves) at Tiger Cub Safari 2021 with dates scheduled for April 24–25, 2021 and April 30–May 1, 2021.
The Council Office will be in contact with those that have already registered about their options to reschedule or refund their registrations.
